Julia Foodman (Colorado)

Julia Foodman is an actor, writer, educator, and comedian based in Denver, Colorado. Julia has been performing for most of her life and currently, she works as an assistant high school teacher during the day and as a stand-up comic by night. She's incredibly passionate about creating safe environments where students of all ages feel free to express themselves freely and develop their skills.

My name is Erica Lewis and I moved from snowy New York to sunny Arizona almost two years ago. I am a highly qualified and experienced educator with a bachelor's and master's in music education. My philosophy of teaching is that music should be fun, everyone is a musician, and everyone can succeed. I also have experience running an after school yoga club for elementary and junior high students.

Kristen has been teaching dance for 18 years. She grew up dancing in Arizona & got her dance degree at Scottsdale Community College. She danced with the jazz performing group while she was there & also performed with a local break dancing crew in Phoenix. Kristen specializes in jazz, lyrical hip-hop & break dancing. Kristen has coached high school dance teams & has sat on many judging panels throughout the years. She just recently moved back from SF where she was the hip hop instructor at a K-8 performing arts school. Kristen has a passion for teaching & it shows in her work. She truly loves what she does & wants every dancer to walk away from her class feeling challenged & wanting to learn more.

My diverse educational background has afforded me a variety of skillsets that I would love to continue sharing within the education arena while being employed for this organization. As a kid, Charlene loved art class, drawing in her notebooks, and creating something out of found objects. That love led her to study Illustration at Indiana Wesleyan University where she learned how to sharpen her drawing and painting skills. After moving to Denver, she found work as a graphic designer and began teaching and mentoring children and youth. She loves to help others tap into their creativity and provide a fun and safe space to create because she believes everyone is creative and capable of making incredible things.

I am currently obtaining my Master’s in Art Education at the University of the Arts in Philly, and have my BFA in fine art from The College of New Jersey. I have been teaching art for over 8 years at Artist People in my hometown of East Brunswick, New Jersey, and have experience teaching my own virtual art classes via Zoom during the pandemic. Art education is my passion, and from my classes at Uarts, I am very comfortable creating curricula in visual arts, including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation and photography.

Hello everyone my name is BaabA Christian, you can call me Mrs C. I have been teaching for over ten years. I like teaching students how to express their creativity through learning. One fun fact about me is I started cooking and sewing at the age of 8. I also came to this country at the age of 9. I was born in Ghana and that has influenced my teaching style.

You can find me teaching art at Heart Studio in Edmond, OK, and I am working on a children's book for kids dealing with a parent who is battling cancer.
