Mitra has been practicing yoga since 2012 and believes in healing our bodies and releasing our stored trauma by imposing Asana’s through yoga. Mitra is a motivated Yoga instructor and a Life Coach. She enjoys encouraging others to improve their wellness and commitment to long term health and fitness goals and to practice preventive methods to stay balanced and live a harmonious life. Mitra believes that yoga is not just for adults! In fact it can give children very important life skills that can help them succeed in the world. As a Microbiologist of 19 years Mitra felt called to expand her understanding of the human experience beyond the physical and biological, and her curiosity led her to enroll in both the Life Coaching program ( 2013 ) and Yoga Teacher Training program ( 2019) at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. “ I believe in the balance of body, mind and spirit , and bringing balance to the right and left brain to be taught at schools and at the young age will totally encourage creativity in our children. She explains, “ I also believe that in this time of uncertainty, being able to use the breath and connecting it to yoga moves and eventually using meditation has been tremendously impactful on me and my clients.” Mitra is a registered member of yoga alliance, a certified member of American medical technologists (AMT) and also American association Bioanalysts (AAB).



Meredith Davis (Pennsylvania)

Meredith is a yoga instructor with 4 years of teaching experience & a passion for making yoga accessible to all populations. With a certification in body mindful yoga as well as children's yoga, her trauma-informed teaching style meets students on their level allowing her to connect with students and make them feel seen and heard. By bridging the mind/body connection through breath and movement, she allows students to explore the physical and emotional sensations in their bodies in a safe space while learning how breath and movement impact their emotional and energetic state. When teaching Pre-K and elementary age students, her emphasis on play, imagery, and games makes learning poses fun and interactive, keeping kids engaged and excited. Her future aspirations include becoming a yoga therapist working with students in school settings to support social emotional learning as well as emotional regulation and awareness.
